After studying agriculture, Tim learnt his trade in racing as an assistant to the late W.R Simpson, J.W.Watts and M.W. Easterby; also learning from D.W. Chapman, when riding for him as an amateur. Tim rode thirty point-to-point winners and fourteen winners under rules, both on the flat and jumping.
After training numerous point-to-point and hunter chase winners, he took out a licence to train jumpers in 2001 and is slowly improving quality and quantity. In 2006 Tim has had his first runners and winner on the flat.
Assistant Trainer, secretary etc etc is Gill. We also have two sons, Robert, at present famous for riding Kingscliff and Mark, who after two years as assistant to Mick Channon is now assistant to John Quinn. After more experience, he hopes to come home and train.
